all the days of my life
Welcome to my journal. This entry isn't to say that this is Friends Only or Semi-Friends Only. Actually it's to tell people that 99% of my entries are completely PUBLIC. Mostly because a lot of what I write are random things detailing about my not exciting life and any bursts of random flailing/screaming/fangirling that might occur.

Most of the other things I talk about are whatever fandom I'm currently in (if you can't tell, it's Tales of Vesperia. More specifically, Raven.) as well as RP drabble. Otherwise you just get random RL/College/Graduation/Oh-shit-need-a-job-life woes.

You are more than welcome to friend me, I really don't mind at all ^^ Or you can be creepy and stalk me...that's okay, too...>>...but seriously, if you want to friend me, just go ahead and do the hover add or Friends Add. Though dropping me a message telling me who you are would be nice so I can friend you back without wondering "Who the hell is this person 8|a;;;"

And now for some random entry links that are more useful for me, lol.

I had to fun today with Clark :D LOTS of sales today when we went shopping so I got several new jeans and tops because I kind of need them. And I also got some belts. If only I had gotten a new purse and some shoes and I would have just really gone all out :|a; But yeah that would never happen XD /not that type of girl. But most of it was for days for to wear at the office because even though my normal shirts are fine, it would be better if I was dressed a bit better. Though it's been good I've been wearing really casual wear considering all the heavy lifting I've been doing xD

...And Kelly I failed. We went to Target and...my office gnome ._.;; It just...it just went crazy ;_____; /got a bunch of notebooks.

Good news is, I pretty much met my shopping quota for like...the past oh. FOUR MONTHS? XD Seriously I don't go clothes shopping that often so when I do, it's either I get like ONE thing (if anything) or go in bulk. Sales helped. A lot :|b

Also! Got my LSAT stuff. This is actually going to be pretty manageable. I don't want to say easy because that would be way too presumptuous. Anyway, you know on the SATs they have Reading Comprehension and all the English stuff?

Yeah, that's all this thing. XD Read passages, answer the questions about them, logical reasoning...well I'm not an English major for nothing even if I type fail :|a; I'll have to start cranking my brain again though. I know it's kind of turned to slush since I've stopped reading as much as I used to.

So I've set a kind of schedule where I do a practice test/exam a week since I have 8 of them and the next LSAT is in September. There's another one in December but hopefully I'll score high enough on this one to only have to take it once. If not, the December one isn't too late or anything, so yeah. I still have another shot.

I'll figure out an actual real kind of "schedule" to help manage my time better within the next few days. But...I'm kind of excited. IDK why. I have no CLUE what I'll end up doing with a Law degree (if I make it through) and somehow I wouldn't be surprised if I don't even do anything law related if/when I graduate.

I still don't want to go to any big grad schools. I like the smaller ones. And I don't want to go anywhere farther than Georgia in terms of out of state :\ And Samford is the only place in Alabama I'd go to (for multiple reasons, most some more obvious than others xD)

Whooooo. Also. [info]theoregontrail. It exploded my f-list since I'm watching it xD I have custom filters set so I can view my f-list without but. rotflmao.

It's 7:00 P.M.

And I'm still at the office.

I've been here since 8:00 A.M.

And I've been done since like 5:00 P.M.

I'm waiting on Dad so we could go home.

....

WHY DO THEY HAVE SUCH A SMALL PARKING LOT THAT I CAN'T HAVE MY CAR SO I CAN LEAVE WHEN I'M DONE?? I DON'T GET PAID FOR THESE EXTRA HOURS LEAST NOT YET I SHOULD FORCE HIM TO BECAUSE JEEZ I BARELY GET TO DO ANYTHING DURING THE DAY ALREADY SINCE I FINISH EVERYTHING FAST AND THEY RUN OUT OF THINGS FOR ME TO DO B|

30 minutes? Okay, I can deal. But when it gets to an hour or two hours and still counting...well then we have a problem. It's all right you can work as long as you want, Dad, but don't drag me into it because I actually finish my work on time and you won't let me use my own damn car (and yes I've argued over this with him pretty much almost every day for the past two weeks since I've started here :|). lakdjflaskdjflkasjdflajsdf I want a nap dammit.

In lighter news, the nurses and staff threw him a surprise birthday party since it's tomorrow xD The cake his nurse made him was hysterical I swear. But it was damn good. And I don't mind doing the part time job here (dude, I wouldn't mind doing front desk clerk work at all so long as I didn't have to answer the phone. Unfortunately, answering the phone is part of front desk clerk work 8| God dammit.). It's only when Dad stays late at the office and everyone KNOWS he stays late at the office. He always has. Ugh.

/brb going downstairs to try and drag him out AGAIN.

AND IT'S FRIDAY. LET ME HAVE MY WEEKEND ALREADY I HAVE THINGS TO DO AT HOME TOO YOU KNOW EVEN IF THEY AREN'T THAT IMPORTANT BUT I CAN'T DO THEM HERE BECAUSE THIS IS NOT MY PC THIS IS MY LAPTOP ALSKDJFLASKDJFLASKJDF

WELL. Had dentist appointment today. NO CAVITIES FOR THE 22ND YEAR IN A ROW /O/ Seriously I've never had cavities 8D EVER. Hurrhurr. Just need to work on flossing >_O;;;;

Made new layout for [info]somarium and god damn I spent a lot of time on it xD Mostly because of the color scheme. I was just like "LASKDLKFJS LIGHT OR DARK LIGHT OR DARK" and I just decided to go with it. So far a lot of people like it so yay \o/ I know not everyone will but...x-x;; I tried ._.; It's a nice change of pace at any rate.

In other news...ROTFLMAO I'M APPING KAMINA AT [info]theoregontrail XD XD XD I already have his application ready, just have to time the posting right so he and the Yoko on reserve will be on the same wagon. His application hit the 7th page WTF SELF. This is going to be insane. All I know is, I have a feeling Kamina might die early in self-sacrifice for the team. Or kill them all. Whichever comes first XDDDD; But I'm looking forward to this if I get in. I need a not srs RP.

Anyway I should be heading off so I can get up and not be TOO tired for part-time work tomorrow but I wanted to write out my "Things To Do" for the weekend now that I've gotten a lot of stuff out of the way.

  1. Kelly's Tieria header :| ♥

  2. CATCH UP ON TAGS ALKJSDFSLKDF /didn't tag much today x_X

  3. Make Kamina Paintball Wars post in [info]somarium

  4. Balance out RPing threads again /hunts for her planner.

  5. Random music post that won't be as tl;dr as Peo's and more like a music sampling

  6. "How well I associate with my characters and thus make me paranoid" essay

  7. Sleep.

  8. Head to Birmingham to visit Clark and a) find him a Catholic church lolol b) shop /o/ (it should be noted a) probably won't happen.)

I think that's it for now. I have other stuff but they can wait/be listed later.

Also. I AM EXCITED I HAVE A MINI FINAL FANTASY IX CAST IN [info]somarium XD We had Beatrix, then I brought in Zidane, and then Vivi was apped and now we have a Garnet pending. alskjfalskdjf so excited. KELLY I STILL BELIEVE YOU CAN BE KUJA ;_; I just really got to get back into my RP groove. But I'm also afraid Zidane might be a little TOO much like Kamina and Raven with a splash of Tamaki. I've noticed some of my tags started sounding like one of them and I was like "...Shit." though I managed to make it distinct. I'll just have to work with it. Despite him being my favorite character of all time, I've never actually RP'ed him much and only wrote a couple of fanfics. And though I just recently played the game, it'll take a few threads before I'll feel comfortable with his voice. It's how it is always with a new muse I guess. I just hope I don't royally screw up. x_x

Anyway. I gotta sleep. /flees.

Still at the office but I'm DONE. And I deserve a break after all I did today 8|

I spent pretty much all of the morning shifting charts and rearranging charts and transferring charts.

This might not seem as bad as first. Lemme tell you why it pretty much sucked.

  • Every year, the office shifts charts to make room for the new ones coming in. By "shift", they mean removing folders from a certain year (usually two years ago because the patients aren't current and not updated to current year) from the front desk area to the attic. And then moving the remaining folders up to fill up the space while leaving enough room so they're not as tight together and allow for new patient folders to be put in.

  • Dad has a lot of charts. A lot. Thousands. Not exaggerating, I know how much space 100 folders take up so I can pretty much gauge it. Read on to find out how.

  • In main front desk area, all of the active patient charts are on these cool movable shelf thingies (seriously there's this wheel thing you use to move them over) and for Dad He has 13 shelves. Thirteen. And they are PACKED from end to end. And some of these charts are pretty empty cos they're new patients or one time visits. So it's really not that hard to imagine hundreds of those folders on one shelf alone (somewhere between 250 ~ 300 possibly more). Also, these ranged from the years 2007 - 2009.

  • There's more btw. In the attic, dad has like two sides of the thing with bookshelves full of charts. Dating all the way back to 1999 because they have to keep the medical records for 10 years. Then they can shred them. So yeah, Dad takes up pretty much most of the attic space up there.

  • I spent half an hour helping Lynn the office manager shift an entire bookcase of medical records in the attic to make room for the 2007 charts that will be put up there. That went by pretty fast with us working together, and it was actually three bookshelves >_> Also, it's the attic. In Alabama. In the summer. Morning or not it was hot up there, like already in the mid-80s no lie. I didn't really mind it too much but all the moving around definitely made me feel the heat.

  • I spent the rest of the morning pulling out the 2007 charts. Now the pulling out the charts isn't so bad really. It was having to do 5 trips up and down the stairs, with the up journey involved carrying boxes filled with around 200 charts (at least a shelf worth) each...by myself >_> Dude, I didn't think I could actually carry those damn things they were HEAVY. And these weren't small boxes. These were long boxes. It was really the hefting it up two flights of stairs that sucked ass. Oh and having to pull open the doors. Only the one downstairs was easy to open cos I could just push it :|

  • Inbetween the carryings (because like hell I was going to be able to do that all in one shot right after the other), I shifted the charts up. This also wasn't so bad actually and I didn't mind this part :O And it was fun seeing how much the space between the charts increased to the point where there was a shelf completely empty xD;

  • Handling charts can actually be dangerous. Especially Dad's. Because they're more worn out, the corners are more jagged, and the place where the labels are are torn. Fortunately I have yet to receive the ultimate chart injury: jagged chart cut (these are worse than paper cuts I hear. I'm guessing because they're bigger). But you know that soft, sensitive web of skin between your thumb and index finger? It's had several close calls from getting cut and that would have SUCKED so bad XD I actually do have this red mark near my thumb. I'm not sure if it came from the carts or from the boxes when carrying them.

  • I get to do this again on Monday for one of the other doctors :D

So that's how may day went. I really didn't mind shifting the charts. Nor pulling out the charts. It was just carrying them. And I couldn't ask anyone to help because they were busy with their own stuff that they had to do. So my arms got a supreme workout and I am betting they will be dying tomorrow :| My hands are definitely feeling a bit raw right now, too. I can still see the red marks from where I held the boxes and dealt with the charts.

@___@ TIIIIRED can't wait until Clark comes home so we can see the second Night at the Museum movie ;.;
